The following multilingual UNICODE TrueType fonts I have found to be available for free download
from the Internet.
Below the table you find details to styles, codepages (scripts), UNICODE character ranges, and multilanguage support in Windowsi 95 / 98 and hints on using these fonts in Linux.
The most complete TrueType font I know is "Arial Unicode MS". This font contains all characters defined in the Unicode Standard. It comes with some newer Microsoft Windows and Office versions (and maybe Internet Explorer) but does not seem to be available for free download any longer (at least I don't know the URL)

You can directly access every character in the font by it's Unicode number without choosing a "script". Entrys to file win.ini are not required. |
In Linux, you can use TrueType-Fonts with XFree86 version 4 and newer. There are also applications with their own TrueType font support, e.g. OpenOffice, Mozilla or the Unicode text editor Yudit.
The character sets given in the "character sets" column of the font table are the ones recognized by the TrueType font install utility "ttmkfdir".In order to extract the .exe files in which some of the fonts are packed use the "cabextract" program available at corefonts.sourceforge.net.
